Just received an e-mail from PETA and there was a link to http://www.peta2.com/woof .
Did you know that pigs are the smartest animals on the planet besides primates. Yes, meaning they're even smarter than dogs, although they share a lot in common with them. Pigs are about as smart as three year olds and can feel just as much main as we can. Even though as a Muslim who's not allowed to eat pork, I feel horrible for these animals who have to endure a lifetime of suffering and end it with a horrid, inhumane death. The video was really sad; pigs were hit with this long metal thing to get them to come out of their tiny pens. After that, they're shot in the head or just hung upside down and have their organs spill out of their cut-open chests.. while they're still alive. It amazes me how humans can be inhumane so unfair towards animals. This world wasn't made only for us, and how can we deny other creatures what is natural to them?

I had a vegetarian breakfast today - wholemeal bread with margarine, sliced bananas and brown sugar. It was quite refreshing because I usually just have a peanut butter sandwich. You know, maybe there's hope for me in the kitchen.
