because we are all just lovers, born of earth and light like all these others

Because at 3 a.m. I think about how I want to meet my future husband.......

When I grow up, I'll own a vegan cafe + art gallery + bookstore + boutique in Haji Lane. I will play Bob Dylan and Lykke Li and Bon Iver and my kitty cats plus one bunny rabbit(they're all best friends) will accompany me at my cafe. The animals will have my office in the back of the shophouse to escape to when they get disgusted with obnoxious visitors and there will be a kitty/rabbit door for easy access. They will also make friends with that short-legged black and white cat that roams around the area.

Soon after I first open, a well-dressed vegetarian boy who has his own music store down the road will come for lunch, and he will come back daily because my hummus triumphs all the hummus on Arab Street (or so he says). He will be an interesting and articulate conversationalist who will teach me something new of the world each time he comes to visit. The animals will take a special liking to him and sometimes one of the cats can be found curled up on his lap as he reads a book and sips on mint tea on an afternoon break.

He happens to be an artist and he will wonder if I would consider selling his artwork at my store. Well he's in luck 'cause as it turns out, I would! We get closer, and sometimes he helps me to close up the store at night. We'll sweep floors and wipe tables and count the day's earnings dancing like goofballs to a mixtape he made. Most of the songs are by The Beatles. When I Wanna Hold Your Hand comes on one night, he'll turn off the stereo and sing it to me himself, as his way of asking me to be his girlfriend. As a couple we will paint together after work, and try out new vegan recipes, and lepak at each other's shops, and visit our other friends' shops with our kitties. And then yadda yadda yadda and we get married whooohooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo \O/ \O/ \O/

Hahahahaha why am I so stupid.............

But really, sing to me Bruno Mars and I'll be like, "OK." Sing I Wanna Hold Your Hand and I will be a puddle at your feet because that song is so bloody brilliant.

PS I shaved my head again!!!! Hahahaha it's always so exciting! I should probably buy a shaver if I'm going to the hairdresser's every couple of weeks now hmm.
